Calvin Lynn Carlisle, 50, of Cabot, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

He was a self-employed painter, and a member of Cabot United Methodist Church.

Calvin loved his church, his family, his friends, and a competition of any kind. He was an avid sports enthusiast and outdoorsman who never met a stranger.

He was passionate about life, healthy discussion, and was a wonderful man who was endeared by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Leann; two sons, Casey Carlisle and fiancée Ashley Higgins and Jordan Carlisle; brother, Keith Carlisle and wife Tisa; sister, Lea Ann Evans and husband Terry; father, James Carlisle and wife Faye; mother-in-law, Sharon Woodiel; sister-in-law, Dee Dee Woodiel; two nephews, Connor Carlisle and Thomas Evans; and two nieces, Krista Carlisle and Briley Evans. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Carlisle.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Cabot United Methodist Church, with burial in Hickory Plains Cemetery.
