Came to California in 1935,from Jacksonville,Pulaski Co.Arkansas Obituary from 1973 Malvern newspaper, possibly Jan., exact date unknown. "Floyd Adkins, age 76, of Fresno, Calif., brother-in-law of several Malvern-area residents, died Dec 23 at Fresno of a heart attack. Burial was at Fresno. Adkins, a distant cousin of the late Arkansas Governor Homer Adkins, was a brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Otts of Glen Rose, Mrs. Lola Mae MaClenahan of Malvern and Lester White, Route 4, Malvern. He was a son-in-law of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.H. White, Route 1, Donaldson. Immediate survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois White Adkins of the home, three daughters, one son and several grandchildren. Adkins, a former Malvern resident, was a retired employee of Sun Lumber Co., Wilmington, California, and a retired carpenter."
