MRS. J. RADL, 85, DIES FRIDAY NIGHT AT HOME
Mrs. Joseph Radl, 85, a pioneer resident of the city, passed away last night at the home, 916 State street after a brief illness. Burial will take place Tuesday morning at 8:30 from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home, to the St. Boniface church, where services will be at nine o’clock, with interment at Calvary cemetery.
Her maiden name was Catherine Straka and she was born in Austria 85 years ago. She came to America in 1866 and was married to Joseph Radl in 1867 and always resided in this city. Mr. Radl passed away thirteen years ago.
Four daughters, Mrs. Wm. D. Schwartz, Mrs. W. C. Schlaeter, Mrs. Frank Kuhnle, Mrs. John Leicht, and two sons, Edward and George, all of this city, survive. There are also eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of the St. Ann’s society and the Altar society of the St. Boniface church.
The remains may be viewed at the Shimek & Schwartz parlors up to the hour of the funeral.
