Mrs. Allie Lowder Rainbolt, of Bloomfield, died in the Freeman Greene
County Hospital at 7 o'clock Wednesday night, as the result of burns which
she received in an accident which occurred at her home in Bloomfield
Saturday morning …
Mrs. Rainbolt was attempting to start a fire which had been banked, when
in some manner, flames shot from the stove catching her clothing on fire …
She weas rushed to the Freeman Greene County Hospital where she
lived for four days ….
Mrs. Rainbolt was born in Lawrence County on Mat 29, 1861, the daughter of
Hiram and Sally Lowder, deceased .. She was 82 years, 8 months and 20 days
of age … She was the widow of Boone Rainbolt, who passed away several
years ago …
The deceased is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including
Roy Rainbolt of Bloomfield who made his home with her … The body was taken
to the Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield where funeral services will be held
Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock …
Interment : Grandview Cemetery ….
