Mabel Florence Spurgeon-Wright-Moit, 80, of Bertrand, MO died at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 1992. She was born July, 2, 1911 in Cuba, MO, daughter of William M. and Minnie McIntire Spurgeon.
She had lived in Mississippi County most of her life, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
In 1930, she married Virgil Wright. Three sons were born to this union. Virgil preceded Mabel in death in 1935.
Then on July 15, 1938, she married Daniel Wells Moit. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1979. One son,(Harley Wright,)
three brothers, and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sons: Marvin Wright of Ontario, CA, Maurice Wright and Manuel Moit, both of Bertrand, and Daniel Moit, Schererville, IN; one daughter, Helen Jenkins, Dexter; two brothers: Ben Spurgeon of Gray Summit and Allen Spurgeon of Collinsville, IL; two sisters, Lillie Noel, Oakland, CA, and Esther Steinraus, St. Louis; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
