Mary Ann was united in marriage to Jack Anderson on May 1, 1950 at St. Phillips Catholic Church, Hankinson; the couple lived in Wahpeton where they raised their family. Mary Ann worked at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge as a nurse for 40 years, retiring in 1987 and did volunteer work at the hospital for the next 20 years. Mary Ann and Jack spent 14 years wintering in Arizona and spent their summers at the lake. They moved to Fargo in June of 2009 to be closer to their children. She recently entered Villa Maria, Fargo.
Mary Ann was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Foresters and St. Francis Retired Nurses Assoc. She loved to travel, spend time at the lakes with her family, read and work crossword puzzles. Mary Ann especially treasured the "Anderson Christmas" when her whole family was together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (Wagner) Althoff, three brothers: Bill, Ed and Sal Althoff; four sisters: Sr. Borromeo, Sr. Rose Alice, Fran Baldner, and Bert Lingen; and her daughter-in-law, Deb Anderson.
