TUCKER
FLOUR BLUFF, TEXAS—Mrs. Jack O. (Mildred A. Fette) Tucker, our beloved Mother, went to her heavenly reward on January 27, 2000, after a lengthy illness with some of her family at her side in her home. She was 86 years old. She was born on May 23, 1913 to William and Catherine (Schnitker) Fette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by our Father, Jack O. Tucker on August 9, 1989 and by two sons, Thurman I. and William J. (Billy Joe) Tucker; three grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (A.D) Crutcher and Helen (V.O.) Henderson.

Our Mother served as manager of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School Cafeteria for 14 years. She was well known for her delicious food and her homemade bread and rolls. She was instrumental in the success of the Annual Barbecue at St. Paul's Catholic Church, of which she was a member from its beginning. She was often the top seller of raffle tickets, sold to benefit the needs of the church. She had many loyal repeat customers who relied on her to call on them for donations each year. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Our most treasured memories will be of the love she gave to each of us, and the good times we all shared at family gatherings that always revolved around the kitchen and dining table with lots of good food prepared by her loving hands. She enjoyed crocheting and being with friends and family. Mother leaves a large family and many friends who will all feel her absence.

She is survived by eight children; four sons: Thomas F. (Alkie) of San Antonio, Texas, Damon O. (Faye) of Pelham, Georgia, David E. (Barbara) of Livingston, Texas and Marvin J. (Kathleen) currently of Pineville, Louisiana; four daughters: Doraline (Kenneth) Ewart of Ingleside, Texas, Mildred A. Williamson of Corpus Christi, Jacqueline Y. (Larry) Summerfield of Spring Branch, Texas and Laura M. (Bob) McDonald presently of Corpus Christi; one brother, Ervin E. (Helen) Fette of Kilgore, Texas; 47 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

We wish to thank all of those who visited and called Mother during her illness. We owe a special thank you to our sister, Mildred, who has resided with Mother for nine years and has been the primary care-giver during her illness. Her dedication and love allowed Mother to remain in the home she loved until the Lord called her to her heavenly home.

Visitation will be at St. Paul's Catholic Church on 2233 Waldron Rd. in Flour Bluff from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on January 29, 2000 and on the 30th beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on January 30, 2000 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on January 31, 2000 at St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her children. Funeral arrangements under the personal direction of Manuel Buentello owner and operator of the soon to be Flour Bluff-Padre Isles Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc.
