GEORGE MATTHEWS,PROMINENT LORENAITE, DIED THURS. MORNING
George Matthews, aged about 59, well-known resident of Lorena, died Thursday morning at 9:30 at the home of his brother, J. J. Matthews one mile from Lorena. The funeral will take place some time Friday probably in the afternoon, with Interment to be made in the Lorena cemetery. Mr. Matthews had been living at Lorena for about twenty years. He had been in ill health for some time. He was foreman on the T. C. Westbrook farm near Lorena. Besides his wife and the brother above mentioned, Mr. Matthews has two other brothers, Harlan Matthews of Plainview and John Matthews of Oklahoma. A sister lives at Shreveport.
