A.B. Peebles was born in Hart county, Kentucky, Jan. 22, 1838, and died at Narka, Kansas, March 18, 1907, aged 69 years, 1 month and 24 days.
In the year 1838 he came to Illinois with his parents where he grew to manhood, from there he moved to Nebraska in the fall of 1871. From there he came to Kansas in the spring of 1883 where he lived on a farm till he came to Narka. Here he lived till his death.
He was married in Illinois to Elizabeth T. Reader Nov. 17, 1861. To this union were born five children of whom two survive him. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, a daughter and a son, and five grandchildren.
The funeral services were conducted in the M.E. church by the pastor Tuesday at 2 p.m., and the remains laid to rest in the Maple Grove cemetery. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of the community in their breavement.
