Death of Isaac Morris JONES
- Isaac Jones aged 86 years died of
old age at the home of his daughter
Mrs Ed Carson in Forest, Vernon Co.
Jan. 16th, inst. The deceased came
to Vernon county in 1856. He leaves
two sons and six daughters and many
grand children to mourn his death,
his wife, one son and two daughters
having preceeded him to the other
world. Funeral services were held
at the Williams school house and the
remains were buried in the family
cemetery on the old homestead nearby.

Isaac M. married Elizabeth (Williams 1828-1886) in OH in 1845. Elizabeth was the oldest child of John & Mary (Partee/Purtee) Williams. Shortly after their marriage, both the Jones and Williams family migrated to IN.
