Milton M. Davison is the son of Bracket and Delilah Hardison Davison. There is a question whether his first name is Milton or Melton and whether his middle name is McMacklin or McGurman. He married Rosa Caroline Glover on 24 July 1845 in Polk County, MO. He was 19 and she was 20. Four boys and three girls were born to them between 1846 and 1858 averaging a birth every 24 months. Milton was killed by lightning at the age of 32. He had been walking with his son, John Calvin, who was carrying an ax. John had just given the ax to his father when the lightning struck. Milton and Rosa had seven children:
