Bernice Imogene James 84, of Clinton, Arkansas passed from this life to be with her Lord Friday, October 4, 2013. She was born December 18, 1928 in Higden, Arkansas daughter of the late John Wesley and Atheline (Payne) Crawford.

Imogene loved children and because of this taught children's Bible classes and had a daycare in her home where she babysat many children over the years.

She was a faithful member of the Clinton Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Webster James, her sister, Gracie Eveline Crawford, and two brothers, Roy Leon Crawford, and Bradley Melvin Crawford.

She is survived by her four children, Gereta Semanek and husband Ron of Pearland, Texas; Geraldine Crow and husband Steve of Morrilton, Arkansas; Gary James and wife Nancy of Spiro, Oklahoma; and Johnny James and wife Joyce of Clinton, Arkansas; two brothers, Hulen Ray Crawford, and John Albert Crawford of Marshall, Arkansas; three sisters, Lorene James, of Clinton, Arkansas; Betty Lou Rorie of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Mary Lois Rose of Lincoln, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Marcus and Matt Semanek, Jennifer Semanek Greenwell, Jason Crow, Misti Crow Beck, Jonathan , Chad and Justine James, and Elisha James Parker, twelve great-grandchildren, a host of friends, and relatives and a special thank you to the staff at Ozark Health Nursing Center.

Pallbearers: Jason Crow, Travis Greenwell, Chad James, Dale James, Doug Rose, Dusty Beck, Danny King, and Christian Parker.

Honorary Pallbearers: Marcus and Matt Semanek.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Clinton Church of Christ with Brothers Charles Rose and Forrest Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hunter Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has request that donations be made to: Southern Christian Home 100 West Harding Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
