Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, at Guilford Memorial Park.
Florine was born on November 3, 1909, in Nash County, N.C., the daughter of James Oliver Bass and Sarah Sykes Bass. She retired from Jones Fur Service and was an active member of Spring Garden Friends Meeting. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Florine enjoyed sewing and took special pride in knitting hats for women who had undergone treatment for cancer.
Florine was preceded in death by her husband, James.
Surviving are her sons, Eugene Brannon and wife, Mona, of High Point, N.C., and James O. Brannon of Greensboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Donna Hiltheimer and husband, Bob, of Little River, S.C., Janice Fields and husband, John, of Greensboro, N.C., Donna Pugh of Archdale, N.C.; great-grandchildren, John Fields Jr., Paul Fields, Jennifer Fields, Natalie Pugh, and Erin Pugh.
