Mrs. Annie May Laughery, 73, of 311 1/2 Ash Street, died at her home Monday at 9 p.m. following a brief illness.She was born inDoddridge County, Aug. 8, 1889, a daughter of the late Israel and Martha Davis Swiger. Her husband, George Madison Laughery, preceded her in death in 1923.Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Orpha) Waldren of 1322 Philippi Pike, Mrs. Mike (Dona) Allawat of Arlington Addition, and Mrs. Raymond (Leona) Smith of 1313 Goff Ave.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.One daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Secrest, preceded her in death May 11, 1953. One grandsone is also deceased.Mrs. Laughery was a member of the Barnes Memorial Baptist Church.
