Gus married Ada Jefferson Johnson. They became the parents of Elmer James (1904); Shelby Nathaniel Eubank (1905); Jack Richard Eubank (1909); Ida Mildred Eubank (1911); Bonnie Jean (1917) and Bettie Jo (1924) Eubank.
He worked as a butcher. He had operated his own market, then later, operated Council's (later Dawson & Barbee) Market for 25 years. He lived in Paris, TX all his life. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Paris.
On Tuesday, December 5, 1944, Augustus "Gus" N. Eubank, age 68 of 210 S. 31st St., died at his home at 1:50 pm after a long illness. Funeral service was held at 3 pm on Thursday at Brown-Roden Funeral Home, Paris, conducted by Rev. W.R. Houston, pastor of Calvary Methodist Church, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Section 19-48-03, Paris, Lamar County, Texas.
