Evelyn Lucille Streets, 82, of Mount Storm, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.

Evelyn was born to the late Burza Cosner and Agnes Moreland Cosner on September 17, 1931 at the family residence on Bismark Road, Mount Storm, West Virginia. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence A. Streets; two brothers, Harold Cosner and wife Mary and Charles Cosner and wife Hilda and a brother-in-law, Ben Bonner.

Evelyn was a beloved homemaker and an active member of the Mount Storm Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad where she provided EMT services for the community. She was a certified EMT and first aid instructor who taught a variety of courses including first responder and mining safety classes. She was also a part of the fire department's Ladies Auxiliary and loved making the buckwheat cakes for the annual deer hunters dinner and was also a former member of the Grant County Board of Education. When Evelyn was not volunteering in the community, she enjoyed cooking at the Old Stony River Lodge in Mount Storm. Evelyn was an active member of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday school for several years and was an affiliate of the Ladies Fellowship Group. She participated in several activities in the church, including apple butter making, the Christmas programs and assisted with Bible school. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her three children, Linda Streets Kitzmiller and husband Gary, Wanda Streets Kifer and husband Kevan and Lawrence Andrew Streets and wife Jackie, all of Mount Storm; one sister, Darlene Cosner Bonner of Mount Storm; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Jason Kitzmiller and wife Melissa and their children, Owen, Mackenzie, Addison and Issac, Jeremy Kifer and wife Stephanie and their children, Christine and Alexandra, Justin Kifer and wife Jonnie, Brittany Streets and husband Aaron and Brandon Streets.

At Mrs. Streets' request there will no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date with times and locations to be announced.
