Mrs. Charles Robertson, 62, who had been seriously ill for more than two years, succumbed at her home on west Lincoln Street, early Thursday evening. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Blair Congregational Church. Interment was in the Blair cemetery.

A native of Washington County, Mrs. Robertson was born on a farm in the DeSoto vicinity on Dec. 17, 1871. Her maiden name was Rachel Jane McMillan, but to her many friends she was known as “Jennie”, a nickname which remained with her even as an adult. She moved to Blair as a child and had made her home in this community ever since.

Mrs. Robertson served as a substitute teacher in the Blair schools and later was employed at the Blair post office, remaining there until her marriage to Charles H. Robertson on May 12, 1897.

Three daughters, all of whom survive their mother, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Robertson. They are Mrs. Louis C. Farnberg (Mary) of Blair; Mrs. Charles H. Williams (Margaret) and Mrs. Richard Weber (Jeannette) of Omaha.

Other survivors besides the husband and daughters are a granddaughter, Mary Lou Farnberg of Blair; three sisters, Mrs. Bess Holloway of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Fred Dickmeyer of Orum and Mrs. Agnes S. McMillan of Blair.

Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. John Comstock, Katherine Dunlap of Council Bluffs, Ia.; Major and Mrs. F. E. Wilson of Lincoln; Jessie McMillan, Mrs. Jane Suvkrubbe, Mrs. C. J. Hass of Ft. Calhoun; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Roberson of Herman.
