Robert P. Armahizer, 85, of Becker Road, Butler, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
Born Oct. 30, 1923, in Adrian, he was the son of the late Charles and Luella Clever Armahizer.
Mr. Armahizer was a mill worker for Pangborn, and he retired at the age of 62.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Armahizer is survived by his wife, Luella C. Armahizer; four sons, James R. Armahizer of Butler, David C. Armahizer of Pittsburgh, Robert J. Armahizer of Butler and Ronald E. Armahizer of Saxonburg; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Cehelsky of Butler, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Krajnikovich of Meridian and Mrs. James (Donna) Barnett of Hermitage, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two half brothers, Jerry Wolfe of New Castle and Richard Wolfe of Butler; and one half sister, Linda Black of Butler.
Mr. Armahizer was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, one brother, one sister and one half brother.
ARMAHIZER - Friends of Robert P. Armahizer, who died Sunday, May 10, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary of Assumption Church with Father Ward Stakem of the St. Mary of Assumption Church officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary of Assumption Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
