Mrs. Clara Jones, former Muscatine resident, died at her home in Chicago Monday, according to word received here today.
Mrs. Jones was born in Muscatine Aug. 18, 1873, the daughter of George and Rebecca Appelton. She was born and reared in the city, having received her education in the local public and high schools. She was the granddaughter of Alexander Clark, who was United States minister to Liberia.
Surviving are her husband, an uncle, Alexander Clark, Oakaloosa, Ia.
The body will arrive here from Chicago at 11 o'clock tonight and will be taken to the Wittich Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Thursday
morning.
Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
