Casper Olson died at his home Saturday evening, November 7, at 11:30 o’clock. At his bedside when he passed away were all his children with the exception of Mrs. C. O. Lindahl of Clatskanie, Ore. Mr. Olson has been bedridden since three years ago last March and about a month ago gangrene set in. He attained an age of 92 years, 5 months and 24 days. Mr. Olson was born in Ljusnedal, Hargedalen, Sweden, May 13, 1833. He grew to manhood in his native land and in the year of 1860 was united in marriage to Annie Olson. Four children were born to this union as follows: Olive, now Mrs. C. O. Lindahl, Clatskanie, Ore.; Annie, now Mrs. S. J. Ostlund, Lincoln, Minn.; Kista, now Mrs. J. L. Johnson, and Ole who are at home. Mrs. Johnson took care of him thru his illness. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Olson emigrated to America, coming to Goodie then to Douglas county in 1884 and bought the farm on which he resided until his death. Mrs. Olson died in November 1918. Funeral service were conducted at the home Wed. afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Interment was in the Christian Union cemetery The pallbearers were Victor Grubb, Ole Anderson, Charley VanLoon and Pete Grubb of Lowry, Minn., John Holm and Pete Holm of Oscar Lake. Rev. Peterson of Holmes City officiated.
