BRIGHAM CITY - Kennard W. Anderson, age 88, passed away at his home on August 7, 2000, surrounded by his wife and the family that he loved.

He was born April 14, 1912, the son of Willard H. and Nellie C. Anderson in Bear River City, Utah. He married Marjorie Dixon on June 1, 1940 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Logan Temple.

He retired from the Defense Depot Ogden after 32 years of service. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very well read man who enjoyed a good debate and a lively conversation.

He is survived by Marge, his devoted wife of 60 years; his daughter Judi and her husband Alien Perry, their children Chris and Carolyn Perry, their children David and Samantha, Stacy Manning, her boys Dalan, Brennen and Kipp; Alisa and Ron Wolcott, their daugh­ter Amanda; Douglas's children; Amber (Eric) Sleight, their children Karston and Kendall; Angela (Graham) Mitchell and Kurt Anderson; three sisters; Glenna (Ben ) Anderson, Clarice Slatter and Arvilla Holmgren.

He was preceded in death by his son Douglas, and by 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 12, at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East in Brigham City.

Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
