Jacquelyn Brown Lyford of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Edinburg, Texas, died on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Toni and Trish House. She was 80 years old. Jacquelyn Brown Graham was born in San Antonio, Texas to the late John M. and Frances E. (Ware) Graham on August 22, 1933. She married Don G. Blair on July 10, 1953; he preceded her in death on July 10, 1979. She later married Roland Lyford, PhD; he preceded her in death in 2001.

Jacquelyn grew up in Monterrey, Mexico. Following high school graduation, she went on to earn her Master's degree in Education from the University of Texas—Pan American. She was a Professor of Foreign Language in Texas for many years. She later taught at Nouvel Catholic Central High School in Saginaw, Michigan.

Jacquelyn was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping, and was actively involved in the "Read" program at the Saginaw Public Libraries.

Surviving are three daughters: Carolyn Blair Morrison of Kettle Falls, WA, Nancy Blair Benson of Hellertown, PA, and Elizabeth Blair (John) Christy of Granbury, TX; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, John (Gail) Graham, Jr. of Oyster Bay, NY; and three best friends, Gail Guenther of Edinburg, TX, Susan L. Oblander of Freeland, MI, and Kim (Dennis) Fuller of Merrill, MI.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Robbins.

Per Jacquelyn's wishes, cremation has taken place.
