James A. Hott Jr., 56, Lebanon, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005, at his residence. Born February 1, 1949, in Hershey, he was a son of Erma Weaver Hott of Palmyra and the late James Hott. He was employed by Verizon (Hershey) as a service technician for 27 years, and was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam era. He loved woodworking and hunting. For many years he was a softball umpire at Seltzer’s Field in Palmyra. He was a member of the Palmyra American Legion and he was on the bowling league at the Palmyra Bowling Alley. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are wife Kim M. (DiRuscio) Hott, Lebanon; sons David Hott, Lebanon, Kevin Hott, Spring City; brother Carl, husband of Pat Hott, Lebanon; stepdaughter Victoria Haldeman, Cleona; stepson David Martel, Hershey; father and mother-in-law, Francis and Dixie Stroble DiRuscio, Hershey; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Jeffrey Hott. Service at Rothermel Funeral Home, Palmyra, Monday, September 26, Rev. Dr. Wallace B. Landes officiating.
