Melissa Anne Stupak Montuori, age 28, of North Branford, entered into rest surrounded by her husband and family after fighting a long battle with brain cancer. She was the beloved wife of Carmine Montuori; and daughter of Joseph and Ann Stupak of Shelton. Melissa lived in Shelton for most of her life before settling in North Branford. She was a graduate of Shelton High School, class of 1995 and UMASS Amherst, class of 1999. She was a commercial insurance underwriter for Chubb Insurance and an alumni of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at UMASS, a member of the National Honor Society in high school and a member of the Color Guard in both high school and college. Melissa was a young woman with a heart of gold, a caring wife, daughter, sister and friend.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her sister, Jennifer Stupak; her mother and father-in-law, Vittoria and Domenic Montuori; an aunt Theresa Cosco; her grandfather, Joseph Cosco; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.
