Benjamin Franklin 'Frank' Greenup was born 4 Dec 1859 in Alamakee Co., Iowa, to Stephen Harlan Greenup, and Methodist Minister, and Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Hoyt. He married Elmira M. Senff on 20 Apr 1882 in Cass Co., MN. They had 6 children in the Gull River-Motley, Cass Co., MN area before moving to Grand Prairie Twp., Barnes Co., ND, where they had 4 more children. Elmira died there on 6 Jun 1903 when she was only 36 years old. She was buried in Morton Cemetery just up the road from their farm.Frank remarried to Fannie Heath of KY on 27 Nov 1908 and they moved to Alberta, Canada where they had 2 children, Benjamin Franklin Greenup Jr. who died when he was about 4 yrs. old, and Sybil Pansy Greenup-Demuelenaere, who lives in Canada. Frank died 31 Jul 1938 in Lucky Strike, Alberta, Canada. Fannie died about 1940, they are both buried at a little country Cemetery at a place called Prairie Round in the area of Lucky Strike, some 21 miles south of Foremost, Alberta. Franks lived near his daughter Edith Belle Greenup-Kingsbury in Alberta, Canada. His oldest dau. Emma May (Daniel) Hurd-Schroeder lived with her family in Paso Robles, CA. Son George Edwin (Ethel) Greenup and wife, both died of a flu epidemic in 1920 in Lansford, ND. Son Charles Benjamin (Bennie' Greenup said to have disappeared after his mother died and went to join the Salvation Army. He was only briefly heard of a couple times, the rest of their lives. William Harry Greenup lived in Snohomish, WA and married 3 times. Clara Jane (Henry) Chowen moved to Prince Edward island, Canada. Frances (Fannie) Grace (William Harry) Beach lived in Carrington, ND, Edith Belle (Nathanial)Kingsbury lived in Foremost, Alberta, Ernest Grant (Angeline) Greenup lived in Ventura, CA, he died when he was only 42, Lucy Ann (William) Scott lived in Everett, WA with her family. Youngest son, LeRoy Greenup-Peck was only 2 1/2 yrs. old when his mother Elmira died. His aunt and uncle Israel and Julia (Greenup) Peck reared LeRoy. He married Edna Graves and lived, and died in Newberg, OR.
