On 11 November 2011, LNM provided the following information;

CHARLOTTESVILLE – A double funeral service for Luther Glen Sites, 64, and Mrs. Betty Mawyer Sites, 54, both of whom died Wednesday as a result of drowning near Faber, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rock Springs Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sites was born in North Carolina on Nov. 10, 1904, a son of M. L. Sites of Sanford, Fla. and the late Mrs. Sites. He was a member of Rock Springs Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sites was born on June 6, 1915 in Faber, a daughter of K. C. Mayer of Faber and the late Mrs. Bertie M. Mawyer.

Besides his father, Mr. Sites is survived by two sons, Glen A. Sites of Afton and Ronnie L. Sites of Frederick, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Russell E. Heavner of Newton, N.C., and Mrs. Gerald Stamps of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Paul Sites of Lynchburg, Richard Sites of Sanford, Fla. and Fred Sites of Newton, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Yount of Sanford, Fla., Mrs. Austin Weaver of Hickory, N.C. and Mrs. David Beck of Pfafftown, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her father, Mrs. Sites is survived by two sons, Glen and Ronnie Sites; two sisters, Miss Nellie Mawyer of Faber and Mrs. Sakena Critzer of Charlottesville; and two grandchildren.

The remains will rest at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Charlottesville until 12 noon tomorrow.
