Bobby G. Gunter, 58, of 2015 Springside Drive, Naperville, Ill., died at the Chateau Village Living Center in Willowbrook, Ill., at 6 a.m. Sunday, February 26, 1989.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Benton with the Rev. Robert Vancil and Rev. Patrick Murphy officiating. Visitation will be at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton Tues. evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and burial will be in the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery.
Mr. Gunter was born on March 19, 1930, in Benton, the son of Sam and Fae Cunningham Gunter Carlson of Benton. He was married to Betty Alexander Gunter, a former Benton Resident, now of Naperville.
He is survived by his mother, Fae Carlson; his wife, Betty; three daughters, Mrs. Dallas (Victoria ) Loven of Grayville; Mrs. Timothy (Sidney Rane) Hoesch of Naperville; and Melissa Okayama, Naperville; four grandchildren; Bobbi Loven, Lindsey Loven, Brittany and Clayton Okayama; and one foster sister, Mrs. W.K. (Louis) Sisk of Sturgis Kentucky.
