Lonzo. The Life and Times of Henry Alonzo Ford Jr. "The remarkable life and times of Henry "Lonzo" Ford, a wayward kid from Kansas who grew up during the lean years of the Great Depression. Born on a cattle ranch and raised by a small town sheriff in the 1920s and 30s, he experienced a unique childhood, witnessing everything from cowboys and cattle rustlers to moonshiners and bootleggers. As a teen, he rode the rails alongside hobos, excavated prehistoric bones, and worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He later joined the US Navy and served the entire duration of World War II, surviving not one but two sinking ships in the Pacific theater.
