Early Life: Norma was born March 7, 1929, in Provo, Utah, a daughter of Sidney Henri Belmont Sr. and Edith Mae Freshwater Belmont. She attended Provo High School.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On June 25, 1947, Norma married Calvin Welch Monk in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they raised six children, ran their family business, and traveled together. They also served a mission together in the Michigan Lansing Mission. They were always together. In October 2002, Calvin passed away; in the years since his death, she has missed that closeness and companionship. What joy it brings her loved ones to know that they are together again. Norma dearly loved her family; she was kind and accepting to each one. She appreciated simple kindnesses shown to her, a thank you note, a phone call, or a visit. She enjoyed taking and sharing pictures of her family. She was outgoing and friendly; her friendships were very special to her. She was artistic and enjoyed crafts. She served for many years in various positions in the Relief Society in different wards, homemaking leader was one of her favorite callings. She served at the Spanish Fork Dry Pack Cannery with her husband for many years. Norma Kaye Belmont Monk, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was 84.
Survived By: Her six children: Wendie (Phil) Whitehead, Carol (Davis) Moore, Randy Monk; Lori (Keith) Warner, Vince (Sylvia) Monk and Richard (Ann) Monk; two brothers, John (Juel) Belmont and Steven (Katie) Belmont; her aunt, Ethel Tregeagle; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased By: Her husband, Calvin; and her parents.
