Funeral services for G. W. Hammett, 82, of Monroe, who died Wednesday afternoon, were held yesterday at 11 a.m. at Kilpatrick-Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport with Rev. Sewell officiating.

Interment was in the Forest Park Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. E. B. Slaughter, Mrs. E. W. Bowles, and Mrs. L. N. Copes, all of Monroe; two sons, Earl A. Hammett of Texas, Clyde A. Hammett of West Monroe; four brothers, James H. Hammett, of Winnsboro, Newton R. Hammett of Dodson, Ed F. Hammett of Oak Grove, and Lee Hammett of California; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
