He filed for an invalid pension on June 9,1875 and received certificate # 783.083.
In 1880 he was living in Beaver precinct, Red Willow Co., Neb. He lists his age as 36, wife Martha age 30, daughter Margaret age 10, daughter Rose M. age 6, son John W. age 2 and his father Jacob G. Martin age 77.
On the 1890 Veteran Schedule taken in June 1890 he is still living in Beaver precinct.
His wife Martha filed for a widow's pension on Dec.20,1891 so I would put his death late in 1891. She received certificate # 488.679.added by John Horrighs
