Myrtle M. Branch, 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, passed away Monday, the 18th of May, 2009, in Willis, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Myrtle was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 29, 1913, to Edward Autrey and Daisy Behrens Autrey. She was dedicated to her family and rejoiced in their happiness and her prayers for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eglon Branch, who was an Army Veteran of World War I and II.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter Stella M. Dawkins, of Boone, Iowa; son Tom Branch, and his wife, Lynn, of Houston, Texas; two sisters Florence Johnston and husband, Dennis; and Dolores M. Megale and husband, Vincent, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 22nd, at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

Myrtle’s family wishes to extend special thanks to her grandson, Tom Branch, Jr.; wife, Kathy; and their daughter, Kaylie, for sharing special times with Myrtle. They would also like to thank the many friends at Willis Convalescent Center and Hospice of the Southwest for Myrtle’s care.
