Thelma M. Leisy, 94, of Montour passed away at a care facility in Emmett, Idaho on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Services are pending with the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.

Thelma Leisy, 94, of Montour, Idaho passed away on September 28, 2013 at an Emmett care center. Thelma was born in Emmett on September 1, 1919 to Levi Powell and Emma (Pederson) Powell.
Thelma was the oldest with two sisters, Rosalee (Posie) Waterlin and LaNora (Nora) Williams and one brother, Robert (Sonny) Powell. She attended grade school at Sweet-Montour and graduated from Emmett High School. She married Donald Leisy of Sweet on December 25, 1941.
Thelma was a mother, homemaker and very active in the Sweet-Montour Communities. She was a great cook who welcomed everyone in to have a meal, a baker, and loved her knitting and fishing trips to Cascade, Hells Canyon and the west coast.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; sister, Rosalee Waterlin; brother, Robert Powell and son-in-law, Bill Perkins.
Thelma is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Perkins, of Ola, Donna (Gary) Isaacson of Shelton, Washington and Peggy (Murrell) Dooms of Horseshoe Bend; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, LaNora Williams, of Boise and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at the Sweet Cemetery in Sweet, Idaho on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. under direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff and River's Edge Care Facility for their care and compassion during Mom's extended stay.
