Former County Resident Dies In Omaha

William Frederick Wiese dies April 12, 1981 at an Omaha hospital at the age of 88 years, 21 days. He lived at 4515 Izard, prior to his death.

William Frederick Wiese was born near Kennard, Nebraska, on March 22, 1893, one of twelve children. He was reared in the Kennard community and attended country school. On May 22, 1920, he was untied in marriage to Freda Sunds in Blair.

He began farming in 1920 and continued in the business until 1935. He then moved to Washington, Nebraska, and operated a truck business until 1942, when he moved to Omaha. There he was employed first by the Benson Feed Mill and later by Purina Mills, where he worked until his retirement.

He is survived by his widow, Freda; and four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Helen) Rice, Omaha; Mrs. Evelyn Cloyed, Hanson Lakes, Mrs. Lloyd (Frances) Rohwer, Elkhorn, Nebraska and Mrs. LeRoy (Lillian) Rasmussen, Omaha. One sister, Mrs. Rose Christiansen, Blair; one brother, Carl Wiese, Omaha; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive him.
