LINCOLNTON - Mrs. Luena Waldrop "Chic" Lail, 85, of Lincolnton, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Lincoln Medical Center.
Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor John Duncan officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Lail was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late J.J. and Minnie Baker Waldrop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.A. Lail; and four brothers.
She was young at heart and had a witty, unique personality. She was a very active and faithful member and leader of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Mrs. Lail was born with a green thumb and was a lifelong artist. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and a wonderful friend and neighbor. She was a fun-loving member of the Red Hat Society.
