He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of the home; two daughters, Dianne (Carl) Prueske, Gooding Grove, Illinois, and Donna (Albert) Massucci, Plancentia, California, three grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Francis Adams, Keokul, Iowa, one brother, Lucien Porter, of Marceline, an aunt, Mrs Ethel Dexter and an uncle Lem Maddox, both of Marceline.
The Porters moved to Chicago in 1929 where Mr Porter was a painting contractor until two years ago, when they returned to Marceline and he continued with his work.
Mr Porter was born in Linn County, Missouri, the son of Mr and Mrs Frank Porter. On December 17, 1927, he was married to Gladys Tungett in Kansas City.
Mr Porter was a member of the United Methodist Church, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators, and Paperhangers of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Carl Prueske, Jr
