Wayne Ned Allen, Sr., 72, of Miami Beach, Florida, formerly of Blanchard, died Thursday, September 12, 2013, in Conroe, Texas. The son of Thomas Doyle Allen and Effie Lorene (Irons) Allen, he was born November 18, 1940 in Fairfax, Oklahoma. He graduated from Blanchard High School in 1958. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was Catholic in faith. Ned owned and operated an air conditioning and refrigeration company in Fort Stockton, Texas for many years. In his spare time, he loved to fish, play the lottery and watch his favorite comedy tv shows. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. He was a very caring, affectionate, and attentive grandfather to his grandbabies and great grandbabies and was known to them as "Papa." He would do anything for all of them and always went above and beyond to make each one feel special. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle Allen and Effie (Allen) George, and his two brothers, Estle Ray Allen and Thomas Dean "Tinker" Allen.

Ned Allen, Jr. of Floresville, Texas , Deena Allen Alfaro and her husband, Ruben Ybarra, of Addison, Texas Paula Allen of Miami Beach, Florida, and Brian Allen of Midland, Texas; six grandchildren, Christina Tatavak and her husband, Manny, Tiffany Deans and her husband, Tomas Valles, Anthony Allen, Tyler Nolle, Vanessa Allen, and Sofia Allen ; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Ann "Pug" Burris of Oklahoma City; his former wife and the mother of his children, Anna Allen of Fort Stockton, Texas; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 16, 2013, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Dibble Cemetery in Dibble.
