Pomaria - Lucy Chapman Graham, 85, of 1311 Graham Road, widow of Forrest Lee Graham, died Friday at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. She was born of Dec. 24, 1921, in Newberry County, a daughter of the late Luther E. and Lena Kunkle Chapman. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Newberry County Schools. Mrs. Graham was a member of the St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Graham (Rodney) Chapman of Pomaria and Judy Lee Graham of Newberry; a grandson, William Forrest Attaway of Pomaria; and sisters, Mary Nelle Lester and Bernice Shealy, both of Newberry. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Hendrix; an infant son; sisters, Annie Bell Long, Gertrude Bedenbaugh, Eunice Bedenbaugh and Jennie Oxner; and brothers, Ben Chapman, Ishmael Chapman, Malcolm Chapman, Curtis Chapman, Rufus Chapman, Lewis Chapman and Bud Chapman. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Matthews Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt with interment in the church cemetery. The family will be at her residence, 1311 Graham Road. Memorials may be made to the St. Matthews Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 170, Pomaria 29126 or to the Pomaria Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 153, Pomaria, SC 29126. Active pallbearers will be William Attaway, Doyle Shealy, Dennis Graham, Timmy Graham, Dan Graham, Jay Harley, Chris Rikard, Drew Perry and Kevin Crumpton.
