Mr. Roark, age 76 of Winnfield, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002 in the Winn Parish Medical Center.
He was born in Dodson and a resident of Winnfield. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Eastern Star Lodge #151. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. He was a retired Forestry Supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Dee Roark and two brothers, Harold and Waylon [sic Wayland] Roark.
Survivors include one brother, Charles D. Roark of Winnfield; one sister, JoAnn Allen of Katy, Texas; special friend, Ellen Forte of Winnfield; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Worley, Clyde Swanson, Bobby Roberts, Mark Thomas, Jim Lewis, Delane Crain, and John Newman.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dewey Hammons, Jimmy Whisonant, Bill Kerley and T.A. Ferrell.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 8 a.m. until services.
