James P. "Daddy James" Mangrum 79, of Mayfield died Thursday Sept. 26.2013 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
He retired from Mayfield Electric and Water Systems. he was of the Baptist faith, a Kentucky Colonel, and was the most loving ,generous, unselfish, humble,husband,father, grandfather and friend.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette Mangrum
2 daughters Glenda Workman of Sedalia, Cheryl McKinney of Mayfield, one sister Brenda Hardy, of Mayfield, 4 grandchildren, Kevin Workman, T.J. Mckinney, Shawnna Allison and Amy Turnbow, 5 great grandchildren.
Was preceded in death by 1 bnrother Robert Louis Mangrum, 1 grandson John David Workman. Parents were Wilber Louis Mangrum and Celia Sanderson Chilcutt.
Graveside services will be at 2 pm Wednesday Oct. 2,2013 at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Steve Burkeen officiating..
