Burial date was 06 July 1948 in Block 31.
Rachel was born in Norway as Rakel Ingeborg Rasmusdatter Eide. She emigrated around 1893 and married Rice Elias Jackson (1863-1947) in possibly North Dakota. Their first child a daughter, Orla Jackson was born in 1900. Rice Jackson was also born in Norway and emigrated in 1889. Occupation was farmer. In 1900, the family are found in Willow Lake, Steele Co. North Dakota, with Rice age 35, Rachel, wife, age 23, and Orla daughter, age 8/12.
By 1910, the family has relocated to Everett, Washington, and their family residence was 205 Rucker Avenue. Rice Jackson was age 46, Rachel was 35 and had 7 children, with 6 children presently living, Orla son (see difference between daughter and son notations from 1900 and 1910) age 10, Lillian age 8, Adolph age 7, Harold age 5, Bertha age 3, and Elva and 10/12. According to the census record, Elva was born in North Dakota, so the family recently arrived in Everett before the census was taken. Census record was dated 30 April. Also residing with the Jackson family are some members of the Wickland family with notation "roomer".
The family still resides in Everett in 1920 and additional children are Lenora, age 8; Spencer, age 6; and Elsie, age 3, all born in Washington. Daughter Elva from the 1910 census is not seen shown with the family in 1920. I found a death certificate for Elva Jackson, who died in Everett, on 14 June 1910, age 1. She is listed as the daughter of Rice Jackson and Rachel Tede. Certificate #154. I believe the name of Rachel should read Eide.
