Death Summons Comes to Frederick Weyer At His Home In Newton.
WAS A NATIVE OF GERMANY.
Fredrick Weyer, and old and highly respected resident of this county died at his home in Newton yesterday. He was over 80 years old and death was the result of the infirmities incidentto his advanced age. He had not been ill, but was in a feeble condition and his death was not unexpected. Deceased was born in Germany July 30, 1818 and came to Manitowoc county in the year 1854 and located in the town of Newton, where he has since resided. He was married before leaving the old country and his wife survives to mourn his loss. A son Albert Weyer, who resides on the old farm also survives him.
When Mr. Weyer came to Manitowoc county, the country was a vast wilderness and in the closing days of his life it was his delight to tell of the pioneer days and the hardships of the times. He was a man of more than ordinary intelligence and was well and favorable known in this city where he has many friends. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the old home, Rev. Pieper officiating.
