Marvin C. Daye, 74, of Brunswick, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at SGHS in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, September 30, 2013 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Rowell and Rebecca Jeffords officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Waycross.
Born November 21, 1938 in Charlton County Georgia to the late Perry C. and Mittie C. Day, he was a 1957 graduate of Waycross High School. Mr. Daye was a retired supervisor from Derst Baking Company. He had been a resident of Glynn County for 48 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his canine companions, crossword puzzles and football video games.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Linda E. Daye of Brunswick, a son, Marvin C. Daye, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Brunswick, daughters, Susan Daye, Anita Daye, both of Blackshear, Sandy Smith and husband Brian of Vidalia, Darlene Crawford and husband Keith of Patterson, and Joy Serfain and husband Brandon of Anchorage, AK, eight grandchildren, a sister, Patricia Jeffords and husband Lawrence of Nahunta, and a brother Billy Day and wife Suzanne of Kingsland.
