Mrs. Dorothy J. Fetter, 54, 1504 S. Clinton, died shortly after noon Tuesday in Defiance Hospital where she had been admitted Sunday. She had been ill for the past two months.
Born May 23, 1917 in Toledo, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary (Royer) Bayless. She was employed in the Ayersville School District as an elementary teacher for a number of years.
Preceding her in death was her husband Richard L. Fetter, on November 10, 1956. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority for teachers, the Ladies Auxilliary of the Eagles, and several professional organizations.

Surviving are two sons, Robert E., 910 Lincoln and Michael B., Ft. Davis, TX, two brothers, Richard Bayless, Tucson, AZ and the Rev. Robert Bayless, Columbus; and one grand-daughter.

Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be conducted in Brunersburg Cemetery at 1:30 pm Friday. The public memorial service will be at 7:30 pm Friday in St. John's United Church of Christ. Both services will be conducted by the Rev. Marcus Meckstroth, past of St. John's.
