Albert John Warnke was the son of Wilhelm Warnke and Dorothea Homberg Of Hannover Germany...possibly the town of Ulzen. Born a twin to Adolph Warnke, He was one of 13 or 15 children. Most died in childhood with their parents of Tuberculosis. November 27, 1912, he married Eliza (Elise ) Sieloff in Chicago, and together they raised 5 children, Eleanor, LaVerne, Robert, Earl and Albert, Jr.

His obit in the Chicago Tribune ran Oct 25, 1986. It read " Albert J Warnke of Florida, beloved husband of the late Elise, devoted father of Eleanor D Kelly, Albert W, and the late Robert, 7 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, Services 11 am Monday, October 27, 1986, at Edgar Funeral Home 10900 S. Cicero Ave. Interment Willow Hill Memorial Park. Visitation after 2:30 pm. Sunday. Masonic service 8 PM Sunday under the auspice of Boulevard Lodge Number 882 AFS"

As a young man, Albert worked as a tool and dye machinist, then later as a driver in the funeral industry. 1930 saw him working as a mechanic at a service station while 1940 had him as a machinist at a gum manufacturer.
