Daughter of Rafael Maggini and Martina Magginetti, Italian-Swiss immigrants.

Married Elmer Galli circa 1923.
Children:
Phyllis Elva Galli - 20 October 1930
Mildred Elma Galli - 27 October 1932

Elva was the last of twelve known children in her family. She was born into a farm family, grew up a farm kid and didn't stay on the farm.

She may be living with her brother Ralph in 1920 on his farm in San Benito Township, misidentified as "Wife" in a sloppily written return.

In 1930 she is living on Cemetery Road in Hollister with her husband Elmer, a proprietor and operator of a concrete pipe manufacturing company, and their two daughters Phyllis and Mildred. In that year she and Elmer had taken in her niece and nephew, Helen and Robert Taylor, children of her sister Katherine who had just died after the birth of her last child.
