Maria (called "Mary" in US Census enumerations) married Claus Feldmann circa 1879. The 1880 US Census enumeration shows the couple, along with their newborn son William, living with Mary's inlaws, John F. Feldmann, Sr. (1817-1898) and Gesche (Henning) Feldmann (1820-1900,) in Sibley County, Minnesota.

By 1910 Mary and Claus had moved to Spokane, Washington, where they lived with their five children, ranging in age from 16 to 29. (A sixth child had previously died.) Claus was employed as a carpenter. After Claus died in 1915, Mary lived with her eldest son William: in Spokane in 1920, and in Salem, Oregon, in 1930.

Information other than that taken from survey (see "Inscription" and "Plot") came from US Census enumerations for 1880 (with in-laws, husband, and newborn son in Arlington, Sibley County, Minnesota,) 1910 (with husband and children in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington,) 1920 (with son in Spokane,) and 1930 (with son in Salem, Marion County, Oregon.)

Contributor has suggested that Maria was the daughter of No Name Given. No sources were provided.
