At the turn of the century and after eight years of marriage the Bancrofts were located at Orange, Massachusetts. On the 1900 census form George's occupation looks like it might say foundry man.

In 1910 Springfield, Massachusetts was their home. They resided at an apartment at 11 Myrtle Street. George was a steam fitter. The couple did not have any children.

His wife passed away in 1911. Mr. Bancroft trekked to the other side of the country where he was enumerated in the 1920 & 1930 censuses at Spokane, Washington. He was employed as a life insurance agent for Western Union. He lived at 826 W Sprague Avenue.
