Mary C. Spaulding, 85, a homemaker, died Aug. 12, 1986, at Byrans Memorial Extended Care Center. Mrs. Spaulding, of Phoenix, was brought to Arizona in 1904 from Mankato, Minn., where she was born. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and a former member of St. Mary’s Altar Society. Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Young, Sally Frank, Pat Smith and Mary Arnold; son, Charles; a sister; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. today at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home chapel, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at her church, 4715 N.
