Oscar Davis, aged 22, a former resident of this city, committed suicide by hanging in the jail on the Ohio side at Union City Sunday evening. He was in jail on a charge of intoxication but had been acting strangely for some time previous. He was a son of William Davis of this city, and had resided away from here for some time as a number of warrants were hanging over him for misdemeanors. He is survived by a wife but they had lived apart for some time. His remains were interred at Fountain Park cemetery today.
